DAY 1 (Sunday): PACKAGE START
ARRIVAL IN CAPE TOWN
Today is the first day of your package and we start with your arrival in Cape Town, affectionately known as the ‘Mother City’. Your driver will collect you from the Airport and take your through to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day you have some ‘free time’ where you have the choice of going on any one of the MANY amazing advetures we offer and can book for you in advance. From Quad Biking, Ziplining, Paraglinding, Sailing trips/Sunset Cruise and many more. OR you can spend the rest of your day at your own leisure and go sightseeing, visiting the local markets or just lazing at the beach/your accommodation.
On unguided free days all transport to and from activities you have booked will be for your own account should transport not be included in the activity price. Your arrival time in Cape Town will depend on which activities can be done.
We will arrange/book your Airport pick up and drop you off at Ashanti Lodge Gardens (or similar) where you will be staying for nights 1, 5, 6 & 7 of this package.

DAY 2 (Monday): CAPE TOWN TO STRUISBAAI
OVERBERG, WHALE ROUTE, CAPE AGULHAS
Today you will depart (morning) on a 5 days scheduled group tour of the Garden Route (days 2+3+4+5+6).
Departing Cape Town, our exciting journey begins today as we join the world famous whale route in Gordons Bay for a stunning drive along the picturesque R44 mountain pass overlooking False Bay to the vibrant coastal town of Hermanus. After an opportunity to take some photographs and lunch on the seafront, we continue to Birkenhead Brewery to sample some fine beers or wine (included) before moving on to the southernmost tip of Africa in Cape Agulhas National Park.
After a visit to the lookout point we make our way back to our accommodation along “Die Plaat”, the longest beach in the Southern Hemisphere (if time allows). This day is designed to be a relaxing one for you to get to know your fellow travelers, to get used to traveling in our vehicle and to settle into the comfortable routine of life on tour.

DAY 3 (Tuesday): CAPE TOWN TO SEDGEFIELD
WILDERNESS, CANOEING/KAYAKING
After breakfast, we start driving towards the famed Garden Route, passing by/through towns such as Swellendam, Riversdale, Mossel Bay and George! We stop in the beautiful town of Wilderness, lying in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains in a region of incomparable beauty.
Here we will explore Wilderness National Park and discover the natural beauty of Kaaimans by enjoying a beautiful canoe/kayak trip and waterfall visit (included).
We end the day at our accommodation in the small coastal town of Sedgefield, renowned for its diverse and picturesque landscapes, where you have time to sit back, relax and enjoy the African sunset. The town is surrounded by lush forests, serene lakes, and pristine beaches.

DAY 4 (Wednesday): SEDGEFIELD TO JEFFREYS BAY
BLOUKRANS BUNGY, ELEPHANT BUSH WALK & TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK
This morning we drive through Knysna on our way to the Crags where you have a number of options to choose from:
1 - Visit a sanctuary for orphaned elephants where you have the option to learn about these gentle giants and go on an Elephant Bush Walk (own expense),
OR
2 - Visit a Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary where rescued monkeys roam free in a large jungle area (own expense).
For our next stop, prepare yourself for the ultimate rush, where you have the opportunity to experience a heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled 216-meter plunge off Africa’s highest bridge, the legendary Bloukrans Bungy - World’s highest commercial bridge bungy jump (own expense).
If the bungy is not quite for you but you are still looking for a unique experience and trill, then try the SkyWalk Tour (own expense) offering breathtaking views, with a bit of adrenaline still, and a front-row seat to watch the bungy jumpers in action.
After the adrenaline rush and trill of a lifetime at the bungee, we take a walk through the indigenous Tsitsikamma National Park (included) to the Storms river swing bridges and from there we them carry to the famous surfing town of Jeffreys Bay, home of the best right hand surf break in the world, where we stay at a backpackers directly on the beach.

DAY 5 (Thursday): JEFFREYS BAY TO ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK
GAME DRIVE (ADDO), SURFING / SHOPPING TIME (JEFFREYS BAY)
There are 2 options to choose from this morning.
1 - Sleep in and take some time in the morning to explore the town's many surf factory shops, or go for a surf lesson in one of the most famous surf spots on earth,
OR
2 - Wake up early and head inland again to Addo Elephant National park where we go on a safari game drive to view the multitudes of wild animals. Addo is one of the largest national park in South Africa and stretches from the semi-arid Karoo area in the north around Darlington Dam, over the Zuurberg Mountains, through the Sundays River Valley, and down to the coast between Sundays River Mouth and Bushmans River Mouth. Addo is home to the Big 5 and it also has the highest concentration of African Elephants in the world (Addo Entrance & Game Dive with Cape Xtreme Guide & Vehicle included)! Should you wish, you can also opt for an additional Addo safari game drive with SANParks this morning (own expense).
We then take a relaxed drive back towards Sedgefield for the night. If there is time available we will visit the famous Knysna Heads for some absolutely amazing pictures where the ocean meets the inlet to the Knysna Lagoon.

DAY 6 (Friday): SEDGEFIELD TO CAPE TOWN - VIA ROUTE 62 & OUDTSHOORN
KLEIN KAROO, OUDTSHOORN, CANGO CAVES, ROUTE 62
We head over the Outeniqua Mountains to the Town of Oudtshoorn, known as the “Ostrich Capital of the world”. Here we visit the Cango Caves (included) to go on either an adventure or standard tour through some very large chambers with spectacular limestone formations that are millions of years old. If you chose the adventure tour be prepared to start squeezing through some very tight spaces.
If caves are not for you, then you will be able to visit an Endangered Wildlife Sanctuary, home to many local and exotic endangered species OR fisit an Ostrich Show Farm with ostrich feeding & petting, incubator tours & a chance to see chicks in season.
We then start heading back to Cape Town along the scenic Route 62, the famous tourist route that stretches across the Western and Eastern Capes of South Africa., offering the scenic alternative to the N2 highway.

DAY 8 (Sunday): CAPE TOWN
CAPE POINT/CAPE PENINSULA & PENGUINS TOUR
Today you join the Cape Point/Cape Peninsula & Penguis scheduled group tour.
This Peninsula Tour has been designed specifically with the all traveller in mind. Those travellers especially with the desire to see, learn and experience something different from the norm. We try to show all the unique histories, cultures and people that make Cape Town, Cape Town.
We begin the morning with a leisurely stroll along the cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses of the Bo Kaap before heading through the exclusive seaside suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay where we have a short photo stop.
We then carry on along Victoria Drive, through Hout Bay and along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive eventually arriving at The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (included) where we have a 40 minute hike from the most south west tip of Africa, Cape of Good Hope to the Cape Point Lighthouse. We then start driving north to Boulder Beach Penguin colony, where you can view them from the boardwalk and, should you wish, go inside to view them even closer (own expense)!
By this stage you would have built up quite an appetite so we will stop for lunch (own expense). After everyone has had their fill, we stop briefly at the Shark Spotter, entrusted by the local surfers of Muizenberg to look out for Great White Sharks. We then travel through the lush Constantia Valley to the oldest wine farm outside of Europe for a relaxing end of the day wine tasting experience (own expense) where we also learn about the history of farming in the Cape in beautiful surroundings.
This tour requires a minimum group size to confirm/operate. If the minimum requirement for a departure is not reached the tour may be outsourced to a different tour supplier with a siimilar, but not exactly the same, tour.

DAY 10 (Tuesday): PACKAGE END

Today marks the end of your package. You have some more free time (unguided) to try and fit in a few more adventures (depending on your flight departure time) before you are transferred to the airport for your departure flight, or your next stop in Cape Town region.
We will arrange/book your Airport transfer/drop off.
