Experience Overview

Explore the incredible natural beauty of Noordhoek Beach on a guided horseback adventure along one of Cape Town's most scenic coastal stretches. The journey begins at the picturesque Imhoff Farm in Kommetjie. From the stables, you will ride through lush wetlands before arriving at the stunning Noordhoek beachfront.

Experience the magic of the coast as you stroll along the water's edge or explore the back pan, heading in the direction of Chapman's Peak before turning back. The panoramic view where the vast white sands meet the vibrant blue ocean offers a spectacular backdrop , while the gentle sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves create a peaceful, unforgettable atmosphere. Nature lovers will enjoy the variety of wildlife often encountered along the route; keep an eye out for diverse birdlife, majestic whales, playful otters, and curious seals during your outride.

Strict Punctuality & Arrival Policy

• Arrival Window: You are required to arrive at the stables strictly 30 minutes before your scheduled ride time. This buffer is essential to handle mandatory check-in steps, including completing indemnity waivers, conducting safety briefings, fitting helmets, and allocating horses. For example, if your session is booked for 10:00 AM, you must be on-site and ready by 9:30 AM.
• Lateness Consequences: If you are late, you risk missing your outride completely. Your booking will be marked as a non-refundable "no-show" and your fees will be forfeited.
• Location Warning: You must go straight to Imhoff Farm. Do not go to Maitland / Cape Xtreme's offices. You will be at the wrong location and you will miss your booking/forfeit your booking entirely (no refund/reschedule).

Inclusions & Exclusions

• ✅ What’s Included: A qualified professional guide, a fully tacked horse (English saddle), safety helmets, and the 1½-hour beach outride.
• ❎ What’s Excluded: Round-trip transport (hotel pickup & drop off), meals, snacks, refreshments, all items of a personal nature.

Mandatory Attire & Gear

Riders who show up with incorrect dress attire will not be allowed to participate and will forfeit their booking without a refund.

• Lower Body: Long trousers are compulsory to prevent saddle chafing.
• Footwear: Closed-toe shoes or riding boots featuring a slight heel are compulsory to ensure your feet do not slip through the stirrups. Sandals, flip-flops, or flat-soled slip-ons are strictly banned.
• Safety Gear: Hard riding hats/helmets are supplied and are compulsory for all participants. If you prefer to use your own personal riding hat, you are welcome to bring it along.
• Tack Style: Traditional English saddles are utilized for all beach outrides.

Safety Rules & Participant Requirements

To ensure a secure, safe and legal operations, the following strict regulations apply:

• Indemnity Waivers: All participants must sign on-site safety waivers/indemnity to partake in the activity. Guests under 18 years old require a parent or legal guardian to sign on their behalf.
• Age Limits: Minimum 12 years old (strictly no exceptions). Maximum 65 years old.
• Weight Limit: Strictly a maximum of 95 kg / 14.9 stone / 209 pounds.
• Pregnancy Policy: Due to the unpredictable nature of horses and the jarring motions of riding, pregnant individuals are strictly not permitted to participate.
• Riding Ability & Pacing: Open to Novice, Semi-experienced, and Experienced riders. However, this is strictly a scenic walking outride. Due to strict beach regulations, no trotting, cantering, or galloping is allowed under any circumstances. Riders must stay behind the guide and are not permitted to overtake them at any stage.
• Medical Exclusions: For safety reasons, this activity is completely unavailable to anyone who is pregnant, has specific medical conditions that preclude riding, or has had a recent surgical operation.
• Substance Restrictions: No consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs is permitted before or during the outride. The center reserves the right to deny participation to anyone suspected of violating this rule and the booking will be forfeited with no refund
• Group Dynamic: These are group outrides that accommodate up to 4–6 people per session.

Weather & Refund Policies

• No-Show & Attire Rules: No refunds are issued if you decide not to ride, arrive late, or fail to wear the mandatory dress attire.
• Mid-Ride Exceptions: Horse riding is considered an extreme sport, and animals can be inherently unpredictable, meaning they may kick, bite, or lunge in any direction at any time. No refunds will be granted once the ride has already departed due to poor weather conditions or uncooperative horse behavior.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

HORSE RIDING CANCELLATION POLICY
Please be advised that the cancellation fee & refund percentage (%) is applicable to the TOTAL tour/activity price LESS a less 5% transaction fee in the case of online or POS card transactions made for payment. This represents a direct bank processing cost and is not a revenue-generating charge.

Cancellation or changes

• 30 days or more prior to tour date = 80% Refund
• 29-15 days prior to tour date = 40% Refund
• 14-7 days prior to tour date = 20% Refund
• 6-0 days prior to tour date, late arrivals or “NO-SHOWS” = 0%/No Refund

❗️Late arrivals and/or no-shows for a tour/activity/time slot, regardless of the reason, unfortunately forfeit the full booking. Similar to booking an airline ticket; the plane will not wait for any passenger that is late. Please ensure you are on time for your booking.
❗️All transaction/transfer fees and/or forex conversion costs charged by the banks during the refund process will be billed to you (the client/booking holder)
❗️Refund and credit values are calculated in our local ZAR (South African Rand) currency. Transaction values in your own currency could be affected due to bank fees and currency exchange fluctuations.
