Discover a 4-star private game reserve and luxury safari lodge located less than two hours from Cape Town via a scenic drive on the N1. Set in the magnificent Karoo mountains, valleys, and rivers of the Touws River/Ceres region, this 4,500-hectare reserve is completely malaria-free and steeped in history from the Khoi San to the Boer War.
The reserve boasts three pristine biomes of vegetation and is home to the legendary Big 5 (Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, and Rhino). You'll also encounter large herds of game, including Black & Blue Wildebeest, Burchell’s Zebra, Springbok, Gemsbok, Eland, Red Hartebeest, and many more antelope and predators like the Bat-Eared Fox and Black-Backed Jackal.

Vehicle Safari – Traditional Game Drive:
Combines the 2 to 3 hour morning Big 5 traditional game drive and either a 1.5 hour afternoon horseback or quad bike outride together.
Option 1 – Quad Bike Outride:
250cc horsepower quad bikes. There are a maximum number of 10 people per quad bike experience, and one person per quad bike. The quad bike experience is guided by two qualified rangers. The quad bike experience involves roughing it up with an experienced wildlife guide within the 10,000 hectare conservancy.
Note: Maximum weight per person: 90Kgs. Minimum age is 16 years and older.
Option 2 – Horseback Outride:
The horseback experience is guided by two qualified rangers. Horseback adventures include a slow walk across the plains with possible wildlife sightings and guided information about the Karoo veld and our conservation projects.

Children’s Price Policy
**Applicable only to Afternoon & Full Day Safari. Not applicable to Quad, Horseback & Combo Safari.
Children of all ages are allowed on the standard traditional 4×4 vehicle safari experience.
An age restriction of 16 years old applies for the quad bike and horseback activity.
• Children aged 0 to 3 = no charge with accompanying adult
• Children aged 4 to 11 = 50% of the adult/ per person rate
• Children 12 and older = pay full price
Game Drives & Safari Outrides
Duration of game drives, safari outrides, and departure times, are approximate and dependent on the interaction of the guests with the ranger and the sightings of animals.
Transport
Transport can only be booked before 3pm for the following day arrival. Pickup times are only an estimate and your final pickup time will be confirmed the day prior to your trip.
Please Note: Transport to the reserve and back can be booked as an additional add-on. All foreign guests travelling with add-on transport services are required to carry their passports.
Pickup & Drop off
Pickup locations and times will be confirmed with you the evening before your scheduled departure date. Please ensure your contact details (provided at the time of your booking) are accurate and valid for South Africa.
Inclusions and Exclusions
Inclusions: Transport/Hotel pickup & drop off (if paid for transport add-on), welcome drinks, buffet breakfast and lunch & horseback or quad bike safari outride. Don’t forget to pack your swimming costume, sunblock and hat, as guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor infinity pool during the safari leisure time.

Aqauila Safari Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 22 days or more prior to tour date = 70% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 21-8 days prior to tour date = 50% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 7-0 days prior to tour date, late arrivals or “no show” = No refund / Full fee charged
