The Hopper is quick, making this the perfect tour if you do not have a lot of time. The trip takes off from the V&A Waterfront, and you will be awestruck by the Atlantic ocean stretching out to the horizon.
Further you will pass over Green Point Stadium, built for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, before seeing a bird’s-eye view of Robben Island on your right, and Table Mountain on your left.
Hugging the Atlantic coast, you will also be able to marvel at the Cape Town City Bowl, the white beaches of the Peninsula, and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. Then you’ll get to do it all again, heading back to the V&A Waterfront.

To your right, you will see breathtaking blue-green water of the ocean stretching past the horizon. To your left, the majestic Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountain range stand proudly, rolling down into the sandy white beaches and seaside suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay.
You will see Seal Island on your right, before crossing into Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak’s unspoiled cove.

The Cape Point Scenic Flight, or Tour as we like to call it, is a visual feast that takes you around the Cape Peninsula from the V&A Waterfront to Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountain range, before flying towards Clifton and Camps Bay, over Hout Bay and Noordhoek, and around Cape Point.
On your left, Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountain range will rise against the shoreline, with Clifton and Camps Bay below. You will soar over Hout Bay, Noordhoek and Kommetjie, and around Cape Point.
Returning along False Bay, you will see historic Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg, the fine wine estates of Constantia and Cape Town’s CBD, before landing back at the V&A Waterfront.

Booking Conditions
- The rates for sharing flights are per person, sharing a helicopter.
- You may be matched up with others to fill the helicopter. Seating position cannot be guaranteed and will be allocated according to evenly balance the helicopter. You may fly in any of the four different types of helicopters depending on how many passengers are flying.
- A minimum of two people is required to commence the flight. If you are a single person, we will try our best to find at least one other person to join otherwise the tour will have to be postponed for another departure date or time.
- The private flight prices are set per helicopter and entitle you to the private use of a helicopter.
- All flight times are approximate and subject to prevailing weather conditions.
- Scenic tours are based on specific routing and not on flying time as this can vary due to ever changing weather conditions and differentiating helicopter performance. Routes are weather dependent on Pilot’s discretion.
- Please note that every helicopter has a weight limitation. Upon arrival every passenger will be weighed together with baggage. The reading of the scale is kept confidential unless asked for by the client. The Robinson R44 has a single seat limitation of 125kgs.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before your flight.
Helicopter Flights Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 15 days or more prior to tour date = 80% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 14-4 days prior to tour date = 50% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 3-0 days prior to tour date, late arrivals & “no show” = No refund / Full fee charged
