Experience the exhilarating fun of Sandboarding down the Atlantis Dunes just outside of Cape Town, up the beautiful West Coast of South Africa. The Atlantis sand dunes are an important conservation area protecting the Atlantis Aquifer which supplies water to the Atlantis area. It is an awe-inspiring setting for an amazing experience which shows off amazing soft white sand that reaches up to 50 meters high.
This half-day adventure takes you through the basics of sand boarding, from learning how to stand up and gain balance to cruising down the dunes at speeds that will get your adrenaline flowing! No prior experience is needed as our guides will show you the ropes and any physically fit person will be sure to enjoy sandboarding.
• This service requires a minimum of 3-4 guests in total to operate. Please check with us if there are already confirmed trips guaranteed to run that you can join.

Description
This half day adventure takes you through the basics of sand boarding, from learning how to stand up and gain balance to cruising down the dunes at high speeds that will get your adrenaline flowing! This is not as hard as you may initially think, so don’t worry if you have no previous experience with snow boarding or other board sports, our guides will show you everything you need to know to ensure you have an awesome day out on the dunes!
Upon arrival at the Atlantis Sand dunes, just 45 minutes out of Cape Town, you will receive a safety briefing before showing you the basics of Sandboarding and then the fun begins . . . cruising and carving at speed down steep sand dunes!

Things to Bring: Comfortable clothes, closed shoes & long socks, warm jacket (dress warm in winter), sunblock, hat.
Guests or Spectators: Your guests are welcome to view your Sandboard Experience at an additional cost (please enquire).

More Information
If you are booked for the self drive option (excl. transport) kindly ensure that you arrive at the venue 30 minutes before your tour start time.
Should you arrive late, your tour may be forfeited and will not be refundable and you will not be able to reschedule.
Please be advised that we have a good amount of boards we rotate and we don’t always take a sandboard per person due to efforts to minimize the effect on the dunes (environmentally) as well as for safety reasons.
Are there any toilet facilities?
Yes there are, but not what most would consider amazing. If possible it is suggested that you make use of toilet facilities before leaving your point of departure or at a petrol station that you pass on your way here.
What happens if you are late?
Please make sure you leave your destination early enough to arrive on time (allow more travel time) and try to account for any possible unforeseen travel delays. If you are late you could end up losing time on your experience (shorter) OR you could miss out on your experience COMPLETELY and your booking will be seen as a 'no show' resulting in NO refund.
The dunes is VERY busy and there will be no extra time allowed as there are other groups / tips booked.

- Cancellation 15 days or more prior to tour date = 100% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 14-4 days prior to tour date = 50% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 3-0 days prior to tour date, late arrivals & “no show” = No refund / Full fee charged
