Get ready for a ‘half-day’ adventure that trades concrete for sand waves! Just 45 minutes outside of Cape Town, the stunning Atlantis Dunes are your playground for an adrenaline-fueled sandboarding experience.

No Experience? No Problem! Whether you've shredded snow before or never touched a board, our guides will start you with the basics. We'll cover everything from finding your balance to mastering your stance. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick it up!
After a quick safety briefing upon arrival, the real fun begins. You'll progress to cruising and carving down the slopes at speeds that will definitely get your heart racing. Prepare for the exhilarating rush as you zoom down the dunes!
The Atlantis Dunes offer an incredible backdrop for a truly unique and memorable day out. This is your chance to step outside the box and try a totally different kind of board sport!
Arrangements
What to wear / bring: Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, long thick socks, sunblock, hat, sunglasses, warm jacket in winter (dress warm in winter and bring a windbreaker/rain jacket). Water (min 1L pp). It is important to stay hydrate, especially in summer when it gets really hot at and on the dunes. There are no shops at the Dunes, only toilets.
Guests or Spectators: Your guests that are joining but not participating in the Sandboarding are welcome to view your Sandboard experience at a fee of R120 pp (please enquire).

Inclusions and Exclusions
Inclusions: Transport/Hotel pickup & drop off (if paid for transport option), instructor/guide, all equipment.
Exclusions: Transport/Hotel pickup & drop off (if paid for non/excluding transport option), compulsory entry permit/conservation fee (R80 pp - will be added at checkout), meals/snacks/drinks (there are no shops at the dunes, just toilets), all items of a personal nature.
More Information
If you are booked for the self drive option (excluding transport) kindly ensure that you arrive at the venue 30 minutes before your tour start time. Should you arrive late, your tour may be either cut short or forfeited and will therefore not be refundable and you will not be able to reschedule.
Please be advised that we have a good amount of boards we rotate and we don’t always take a sandboard per person due to efforts to minimize the effect on the dunes (environmentally) as well as for safety reasons.
Are there any toilet facilities?
Yes there are, but not what most would consider amazing. If possible it is suggested that you make use of toilet facilities before leaving your point of departure or at a petrol station that you pass on your way here.
What happens if you are late?
Please make sure you leave your destination early enough to arrive on time (allow more travel time) and try to account for any possible unforeseen travel delays. If you are late you could end up losing time on your experience OR you could miss out on your experience COMPLETELY and your booking will be seen as a 'no show' resulting in NO refund. It is VERY busy at the dunes and there will be no extra time allowed as there are other groups/tips booked.
Please note this tour requires a minimum group size to confirm and operate. If the minimum requirement is not reached the tour may be suspended/cancelled - alternatives dates if available will be offered. Please check with us if there are already confirmed trips guaranteed to run that you can join.
General/Standard Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 15 days or more prior to tour date = 100% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 14-4 days prior to tour date = 50% refund
- less 4% in the case of online or POS card transactions - Cancellation 3-0 days prior to tour date, late arrivals & “no show” = No refund / Full fee charged
