Experience Overview

Your adventure starts with a brief safety introduction at the zipline office, located within the Silvermist Organic Wine Estate. From there, guests embark on an exhilarating 4×4 drive up the mountain high above Constantia, where you'll be treated to spectacular panoramic views of Cape Town and Hout Bay. 

The Cape Town Ziplines border the Table Mountain National Park Reserve. As you walk and zipline between the 12 platforms, you’ll be immersed in the natural beauty, fauna, and flora—the amazing scenery might even make you feel like you are inside the Table Mountain Nature Reserve itself.

The platforms offer some of the most scenic vantage points in the Cape Peninsula. This Zipline Tour is a truly remarkable experience that will leave you breathless in more ways than one.

Critical Arrival & Logistical Instructions

• Arrival Notice: You are required to arrive at the venue strictly 30 minutes prior to your scheduled slot. This buffer is essential to handle mandatory check-in steps, including completing indemnity waivers, conducting safety briefings, and fitting harnesses. For example, if your session is booked for 10:00 AM, you must be on-site and ready by 9:30 AM.
• Location Warning: You must go straight to the Zipline location. Do not go to Maitland / Cape Xtreme's offices. You will be at the wrong location and you will miss your booking/forfeit your booking entirely (no refund/reschedule).
• Time Slot Availability: Your selected time slot is a preference and is not guaranteed at the time of submission. Once we receive your request/booking, we will check availability and confirm your slot. We will either send over your official confirmation or immediately contact you with alternative times or dates if your preferred slot is not available.

Inclusions & Exclusions

• ✅ What’s Included: Base camp facilities, a guided 4x4 transfer up the mountain, all safety gear, and the full 1½-2 hour guided zipline course.
• ❎ What’s Excluded: Round-trip transport (hotel pickup & drop off), meals, snacks, refreshments, all items of a personal nature.

What to Wear & Bring

• Clothing: Comfortable apparel is recommended. For safety and harness comfort, dresses and skirts are strictly prohibited. A warm jacket or windbreaker (especially in winter or wet conditions). It is highly advised to wear quick-dry or waterproof clothes if misty conditions and rain is forecasted.
• Footwear: Closed-toe, comfortable athletic shoes are mandatory. Absolutely no slip-on shoes or sandals are permitted, as they can easily fall off during the activity.
• Sun Protection: Sunblock and sunglasses are advised, especially in summer.
• Hydration: Bring a small, easily transportable bottle of water.
• Loose Items Restrictions: Do not carry any loose personal belongings. Items dropped from the cables cannot be retrieved from the dense forest canopy below.

Safety Rules & Participant Requirements

• Indemnity Waivers: All participants must sign on-site safety waivers/indemnity to partake in the activity. Guests under 18 years old require a parent or legal guardian to sign on their behalf.
• Age Limits: Participants must be at least 6 years old to join.
• Weight Limit: Maximum weight capacity is strictly 120 kg.
• Fitness & Health Profile: An average fitness level is required. This excursion is strictly prohibited for individuals with heart conditions or physical disabilities. If you have any medical concerns, please consult your general practitioner ahead of time.
• Heights Policy: This activity is not suitable for individuals with a severe fear of heights. If the tour begins and you find yourself unable to zip across, you will face a significant walk back down to the base camp.
• Pregnancy Policy: Due to the rough, jarring nature of the mountain 4x4 transit ride, this experience is not permitted for expectant mothers.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

ZIPLINING IN CAPE TOWN CANCELLATION POLICY
Please be advised that the cancellation fee & refund percentage (%) is applicable to the TOTAL tour/activity price LESS a less 5% transaction fee in the case of online or POS card transactions made for payment. This represents a direct bank processing cost and is not a revenue-generating charge.

Cancellation or changes:

• outside 3 months prior to tour date = 90% Refund
• 3-1 months prior to tour date = 50% Refund
• 1 month prior to tour date, late arrivals or “NO-SHOWS” = 0%/No Refund

❗️Late arrivals and/or no-shows for a tour/activity/time slot, regardless of the reason, unfortunately forfeit the full booking. Similar to booking an airline ticket; the plane will not wait for any passenger that is late. Please ensure you are on time for your booking.
❗️All transaction/transfer fees and/or forex conversion costs charged by the banks during the refund process will be billed to you (the client/booking holder)
❗️Refund and credit values are calculated in our local ZAR (South African Rand) currency. Transaction values in your own currency could be affected due to bank fees and currency exchange fluctuations.
